XYZ Files in the HYPACK Shell - Thin the Soundings for display

Most modern surveys contain a high resolution of data and is hard to view in the HYPACK Shell for viewing of the depths. If the user draws a full resolution XYZ file to the shell then the user must zoom in and out to see the depth values relative to any background files etc.

There is an option in HYPACK to thin the data for viewing in the HYPACK shell. This only applies to XYZ files and sets the XYZ file to fit the values in the screen to make the data readable.

To find this option go the Settings --> Settings (or F9). In the Sounding tab you will find the "Prevent Sounding Overwrites".

One note that is of importance. The way the program works to thin the display of XYZ file is not based on any logic such as Min or Max. It simply chooses the soundings that will fit in the screen arbitrarily.
