WINDOWS 10 Anniversary Update - Fix to run HYPACK 2016

The WINDOWS 10 Anniversary Update deletes a file that is required by HYPACK to function properly. This was discovered and a file can be added to the ROOT directory of the HYPACK 2016 installation to correct the error.

The following programs will throw up an error without this driver installed:

- License Manager
- Hardware Test
- HYPACK Survey
- Geodetic Parameters
- ZDA Test
- Grid Conversion

The error message from WINDOWS will let the user know that the program cannot start because ext-ms-win-gdi-desktopl1-1-0.dll is missing from the computer, and to try re-installing the program to fix the problem.

To actually fix the problem,

1. Download the zipped attachment at the bottom of this page.

2. Shut down any HYPACK related software.

3. Unzip and place ext-ms-win-gdi-desktop-l1-1-0.dll in the HYPACK 2016 folder

4. Restart the HYPACK software.
