HYPACK Hardware  can  "share"  COM Ports between the Devices that are loaded under the Boat and Mobiles listed.

HYSWEEP Hardware  cannot  "share"  COM Ports between Devices that are loaded under HYSWEEP.

HYSWEEP Hardware also cannot  "share"  COM Ports with Devices that are loaded in HYPACK Hardware.

Example:

If you have a Device that outputs numerous different pieces of information, then you can set up several different drivers in HYPACK Hardware, and have them all access the same COM Port.

This can be very useful if there isn't a specific driver that can read ALL of the information from the device, and you need to collect ALL of the information.

On the otherhand, if you need to set up a Device driver in both HYPACK and HYSWEEP Hardware, then you will need to connect a serial splitter cable and bring the data in two separate COM Ports on the HYPACK data collection computer, so that each Hardware program (HYPACK and HYSWEEP) can access the information.
